Oh wow, I didn't know you're part Scottish.... I'm a super PROUD MacKintosh descendant myself :) My Scottish heritage is my passion.... one day, I hope to visit Inverness, which is apparently my old ancestral stomping ground. But back to you.... CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! Fantastic article :)

i have this magazijne with this spread.
when i first saw it it scared me, the picture of the girl anyway.
but i was facinated with how the effect was achieved.
i loved the way it made everything stand out so much, theye eyes and the skin.
i also really liked the effect on andy and really wanted to acheive it also.
but i often ponder images and never actually get on with ideas :D

anyway great stuff :P

When a guy like me reads this.
How can I not feel inspired? A normal guy who worked hard for his dream.
I seem to be in the position you were in 10years ago.
I'm applying to studios to be an assistant and constantly trying to improve my studio and portrait work.
I'm hoping that this year will give me a bit of a break and I can get the work I seek and go on a learning curve that I wouldn't experience unless I get to work as an assistant and work my ass off.
I'm in two minds whether to go the Uni route and get a photography diploma or try my hand at full time assistant work. Such a tough choice for me to make.

Anyway, sorry about that.
Your very inspirational to me.
I wouldn't have seen the article, so thanks for sharing.

If you can find work assisting do it - if not maybe uni is the only way....I think it was 20 years ago when I was there BTW, or were you just being kind to an old man???

Hope it works out, whatever you choose to do.
