when brides go bad

I've been reading a series that uses the Miss Havisham character from "Great Expectations" who is a disappointed bride. Havisham has worn only her wedding dress since the day of her wedding-that-never-was, and lives amongst the remenants of a day that was to be her happiest but instead was her worst.

This photo captures this perfectly for me. She's a much older character as I read her, but in this photo is Havisham when she was young and newly bereft.
